Two Rocks Conversing, 2012
Two channel sound, paper pulp, crushed Hiroshima granite, sand, artificial moss Variable Dimensions

A project completed for the exhibition, Sons and Daughters of the Sun and Star, which took place at Hiroshima City University in Hiroshima, Japan. Two Rocks Conversing made use of field recordings taken in and around the city, during a two week duration, encompassing the anniversary of the detonation of atomic bomb ‘Little Boy’ on August 6th, 1945. Two points within an artificial Karasansui (dry lanscape) became left and right channels, creating a topographic conversation about the weeks events.
